NVMC News New Picklist values 

The following information provides details about the latest pick list updates. The Foreign Port pick list has been updated to include ports that have been added to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE)UN/LOCODE 2006/1 Website.  The Crew Type list, Port_State list, the Agency list, and the Country list have been updated to incorporate user-requested information.


11 March 2008

Several updates have been made to the e-NOA/D and InfoPath picklists. Below are the picklists and values that have been updated.

  • Agency_List 
  • Crew_Type_List
  • Port_State_List
  • State_List
  • Voyage_Type_List 


    The following items have been updated in the Agency List:
  • Germanischer Lloyd has been corrected.
  • Finnish Maritime Administration has been added.


    The following items have been updated in the Crew List:
  • Supernumerary has been added.  


    The following items have been updated in the Port State List: 
  • "CIP2" has been added for Arrival Port.



  • The following items have been updated in the State List:
  • Saint Lawrence Seaway - Transit



  • The following items have been updated in the Voyage Type List:
  • Foreign to Saint Lawrence Seaway

    If you have any questions regarding the new values, please address them to techsupport@nvmc.uscg.gov. If you do not see a port that you wish to be added, please contact the UNECE to have that port added. The link will direct you to the UN/LOCODE Entry Request System.

    There have been several pick lists updated for the e-NOA/D, InfoPath and XML Schema package (for Developers). Listed below are the current pick lists that will be updated with new values. The files can be found directly on the Developers Resources section of the NVMC website.

  • Crew_Type_List.xml
  • Country_List.xml
  • Foreign_Port_List.xml
  • Port_State_List.xml
  • Agency_List.xml


    The following items have been changed in the Country List:

  • Aland Islands has been removed.
  • Bouvet Island has been removed.
  • The spelling of Macau has been changed to Macao.
  • The spelling of Heard Island and McDonald Island has been changed to Heard Island and McDonald Islands .
  • Jersey has been added.
  • Guernsey has been added.
  • Serbia has been added.
  • Montenegro has been added. 

    The following items have been added to the Port_State List:

  • Daytona Beach has been added to Florida.  
  • New Smyrna Beach has been added to Florida.
  • Sag Harbor has been added to New York.
  • Calumet, Illinois, has been renamed Calumet City.

    The following items have been changed in the Foreign_Port List:

  • Port-aux-Francais has been added to French Southern Territories.
  • Guernsey is no longer listed under United Kingdom, and any ports associated with that country have been moved.   
  • Jersey is no longer listed under United Kingdom, and any ports associated with that country have been moved.
  • Serbia is no longer listed under Serbia-Montenegro, and any ports associated with that country have been moved.
  • Montenegro is no longer listed under Serbia-Montenegro, and any ports associated with that country have been moved. 

    The following additions have been made to the Crew_Type List:

  • The spelling of Chief Housekeeper has been corrected.
  • Financial Controller has been added.

    The following additions have been made to the Agency List:

  • Hellenic Ministry of MM has been added.
