NOAD Schema 3.8 and Workbook 7.8 -- 60 Day Notice

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance maritime domain awareness, we continue to improve handling of essential data contained within Notices of Arrival and Departure (NOAD). Tentatively, on Wednesday, 16 March 2022, a new schema (3.8) and workbook (7.8) will be released. This new schema and workbook will include: new Fuel Type fields; the Crew/Passenger Gender fields will be changed to a picklist; and the Vessel field "NEW_BUILD_JONES_ACT" will be renamed to "NEW_BUILD” in the schema. "NEW_BUILD" will no longer be a required field in submissions.

As part of this release, the 3.6 schema and the 7.6 and 7.6.1 workbooks will be retired and their support removed.


Fuel Type
These new fields will be optional.

Fuel_Type_List|Fuel_Type|Fuel_Type_Desc|Electric
Fuel_Type_List|Fuel_Type|Fuel_Type_Desc|Low Flash Point Fuel (Below 60C)
Fuel_Type_List|Fuel_Type|Fuel_Type_Desc|Oil

Gender
These values will replace the existing GENDER field under CREW and NON_CREW with a value that matches one from this list.

*Attention* The previous notice listed "X" for the third gender. This has been changed to "Other".
